Delaware

Delaware is home on the east coast of the United States sharing borders with Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the Pacific Ocean. Even though the state is the second smallest in the nation it offers a wide array of fun things to do offering visitors all four seasons with a longer growing season in the northern part of the state, thus milder temperatures.

For those visiting Delaware you will find that there are no areas designated to be national battlefields, national seashores, national parks, national monuments, or even national memorials. On the other hand, it has many wonderful places to visit such as houses, museums, parks, wildlife refuges, historic places, and lighthouses. Delaware is home to the world's second longest twin span suspension bridge, the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Not only will you find a wide array of places to visit, but Delaware is home to many other attractions and events including beach resorts, tax free shopping, and festivals such as the World Championship Punkin Chunkin, Riverfest in Seaford, Rehoboth Beach Chocolate Festival, and the Apple Scrapple Festival in Bridgeville, to name a few. For sports fans, Delaware is home to the Delaware Griffins, Wilmington Blue Rocks, Delaware Dynasty, Central Delaware SA Future, and Diamond State Roller Girls.
