Louisiana

Louisiana is home in the southern section of the US sharing borders with Arkansas, Mississippi, Texas, and the Gulf of Mexico. Louisiana is mainly divided into two diverse terrains known as the uplands and the alluvial. The alluvial region is home to beaches, coastal marshlands, barrier islands, and low swamplands. The uplands terrain is mainly woodlands and prairies. Being one of the southern states and having a coastline in the Gulf of Mexico, you can expect to have a humid subtropical climate. In most cases, Louisiana has mild winters and very warm humid summers and is known for having its share of hurricanes.

Things to do in Louisiana are diverse from the Mardi Gras to fishing. A few of the great things to see and do in the state include Fairway Gift Garden in Bossier City, Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park in Shreveport, Sam Houston Jones State Park in Lake Charles, Cypress Bend Golf Resort, Hackberry Charters, and Lincoln Parish Park in Ruston. For those that wish to try their hand with a visit to casinos, there are several different gaming opportunities which include Sam's Town Hotel & Casino Shreveport, Lucky Bayou Video Poker, Belle of Baton Rouge Casino, and Coushatta Casino Resort, to name a few.
