North Carolina

North Carolina is located in the southeastern part of the United States sharing borders with Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and the Atlantic Ocean. The state offers three distinct terrains, which include the coastal plain, the Piedmont region, and the Appalachian Mountains as well as the foothills. With such a diverse terrain, you know there are all kinds of beauty all around.

North Carolina is home to a wide array of fun outdoor activities, which includes the 30 Acres and a Mule Farm in Jacksonville, Marina Village in Atlantic Beach, Abbey Nature Trail in Scotts Hills, Abracadabra in Beaufort, and Kayaking with Adrenalin Rush Kayak & Water Sports Company in North Topsail Beach.

For those that love visiting parks, North Carolina has many different parks throughout the state including Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, Nantahala National Forest in Franklin, Cliffs of the Neuse State Park in Seven Springs, Stone Mountain State Park in Roaring Gap, and Hanging Rock State Park in Danbury.

You can even spend several hours or even your entire vacation visiting the museums throughout North Carolina like Alexander Dickson House in Hillsborough, Alamance County Historical Museum in Burlington, Poplar Grove Plantation in Wilmington, and Carolina Raptor Center in Huntersville.
