Ohio

Ohio is home in the Midwestern section of the United States sharing borders with Michigan, Lake Erie, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Indiana. Ohio has a diverse terrain according to the part of the state you are visiting from plains to rugged hills as well as forests. Ohio has all four seasons and has seen record temperatures on both ends with 113 degrees Fahrenheit being a record high in July of 1934 and -39 degrees Fahrenheit in February of 1899.

Since Ohio has all kinds of terrain you can expect there are many outdoor adventures awaiting both residents and visitors to this state. National parks in Ohio include Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area, Hopewell Culture National Historical Park, and North Country National Scenic Trail. For families with children, you are sure to enjoy the Cleveland Children's Museum, Great Lakes Science Center, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Memphis Kiddie Park, Lake Farmpark, and a visit to the USS Cod, which is a retired World War II submarine.

Throughout the year, Ohio is host to all kinds of events that will certainly keep you coming back such as the Shaker Woods Festival, Ohio State Fair, Circleville Pumpkin Show, and the Cleveland National Air Show to name a few.
