Oregon

Oregon is located in the northwestern United States sharing borders with Washington, California, Nevada, Idaho, and the Pacific Ocean. Oregon is home to some of the most beautiful as well as unique countryside in the US with coastline, the Cascade Mountain Range, waterfalls, evergreen forests, and desert. Oregon is also home to only one national park unlike other states that have several being the Crater Lake National Park.

Since Oregon has diverse regions when you are talking about the climate the state is divided into two climatic zones. The western third of Oregon has mild temperatures with quite a bit of rain while the eastern part has extreme temperatures and very little rain. January is the coldest month of the year, which varies from 45 degrees Fahrenheit to 28 degrees Fahrenheit while in July during the hottest month you can see temperatures in ranges of 65 degrees Fahrenheit to 78 degrees Fahrenheit.

No matter what you enjoy doing, you and your family will find a variety of things to see including museums, galleries, lighthouses, performing arts, wineries, shopping, historic sites, covered bridges, casinos, and ghost towns. If ghost towns happen to sound appealing you will want to visit Antelope, Ashwood, Auburn, Blind Slough Logging Camp, Clastop, Horse Haven, and Sumpter.
