Rhode Island

Rhode Island is home in the New England States of the US, which is in the northeastern section sharing borders with Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and the Atlantic Ocean, This state is the smallest state in all of the US with only 1,214 square miles of land. The state is mostly flat but has a few hills with the highest point being Jerimoth Hill, which is 812 feet above sea level. Temperatures have a very large range from 104 degrees Fahrenheit record high in 1975 to the lowest record being -25 degrees Fahrenheit in 1996.

The most unbelievable thing to do in this small state is enjoy the beaches. Rhode Island is home to over 100 beaches providing fun in the sun for families. Along with beaches, families love boat tours, fishing, nature trails, and more.

If you enjoy the outdoors and nature trails you are sure to love visiting areas where you can just sit and relax while bird watching such as Big River Management Area in West Greenwich, Black Farm in Hopkinton, Davis Memorial Wildlife Refuge in North Kingstown, and George B. Parker Woodland in Coventry. For families with kids you will love Adventureland in Narragansett, Flying Horse Merry-Go-Round in Westerly, Museum of Primitive Art & Culture, and Narragansett Indian Longhouse in Charlestown.
