Virginia

Virginia is home in the southeastern United States sharing borders with Maryland, Washington DC, West Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, and the Atlantic Ocean. Virginia is an amazing state in that Chesapeake Bay actually separates portions of the state as well as being home to four rivers that flow into the Bay, which creates the peninsulas. The rivers are Rappahannock, York, Potomac, and James. Along with this, the state is divided into five sections, which includes Cumberland Plateau, Ridge & Valley, Blue Ridge Mountains, Piedmont, and Tidewater. Temperatures in the state vary quite a bit from a low of 26 degrees to Fahrenheit to a high of 86 degrees Fahrenheit.

There are a very broad list of things to do in Virginia from indoor activities to all kinds of museums and indoor fun. A few things your family will enjoy include the 4,000 square foot gallery, the Appalachian Arts Center in Richland's, the Historic Crab Orchard Museum in Tazewell, and June Tolliver Playhouse in Big Stone Gap. Galewinds Amusement Park & Raceway offers an 18 hole mini golf course, go cart track, and a very large arcade in Wytheville and then there is the Blacksburg Aquatic Center in Blacksburg that will certainly keep everyone happy and content.
