When you think of Colorado, you envision mountains and crystal clear streams. This is very true of Colorado along with small communities and all kinds of attractions including outdoor adventures and indoor attractions.

The Southern Rocky Mountains are home in Colorado which just happens to be one of the main reasons people visit Colorado for outdoor fun from skiing to mountain climbing and everything in between. Colorado has all four seasons and plenty of wonderful scenic views such as the Great Plains, Colorado Plateau and the Colorado River.

Colorado shares its borders with Wyoming, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Utah. Colorado offers beauty in the way of canyons, mesas, forests, mountains, high plains, rivers, plateaus, and deserts. For those that love sunshine and beauty, Colorado is the state to visit. The temperatures range quite a bit from winter to summer with winters often very extreme dipping to as low as -15 degrees Fahrenheit and summers reaching temperatures in the 100's for the desert areas. Of course, this range is different according to what area of Colorado you are visiting.

Colorado offers more than just outdoor adventures with museums such as the Anasazi Heritage Center, American Mountaineering Museum, and the Apsen Art Museum, to name a few.
