Idaho

Idaho is home in the northwestern part of the US sharing borders with Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and the Canadian province of British Columbia. The terrain of Idaho is mainly mountainous with many wonderful river and waterfall views including the Shoshone Falls that actually falls from a greater distance than Niagara Falls. The rivers are another attraction for visitors offering a wide array of adventures on the Clark Fork/Pend River, Spokane River, Coeur d'Alene River, Snake River, Clearwater River, Oreille River, Salmon River, Payette River and the Boise River.

The climate in Idaho can be quite extreme with temperatures in the summer months reaching 100 degrees Fahrenheit and in the winter months as low as -60 degrees Fahrenheit.

For those that love the outdoors, Idaho has many scenic locations with not only rivers, but majestic mountains, serene lakes, and breath taking valleys. The most popular state parks in the state of Idaho include City of Rocks National Reserve, Craters of the Moon National Monument, Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail, and Yellowstone National Park. Idaho is also home to a six national wildlife refuges including Bear Lake, Camas, Deer Flat, Grays Lake, Kootenai, and Minidoka and several state parks such as Old Mission, Lake Cascade, Eagle Island, and Land of the Yankee Fork State Park, to name a few.
